Superfiveadaybanana has been created by members of the Nacro Kensington Junior Youth Inclusion Project working with the artist Vince Cleghorne. It is designed to communicate a healthy eating message in a lively and unique fashion.

Superfiveadaybanana was inspired by the Every Child Matters initiative, Staying Healthy. The young people involved in this creation are very aware of the importance of eating well, and were delighted at the opportunity to display their fresh ideas in such a fun way. About the project

Superfiveadaybanana is part of a city-wide art project entitled Go Superlambananas, celebrating Liverpool's Year as European Capital of Culture 2008. Over one hundred Superlambananas, based on the original sculpture by Taro Chiezo, have been uniquely decorated by artists, groups and individuals. These are in public spaces across Liverpool - including World Museum Liverpool and Lady Lever Art Gallery - creating a visual explosion of Liverpool's creativity. To find out more visit the Go Superlambananas website.

Following this display, Superfiveadaybanana will be auctioned with 75% of the proceeds going to the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal 2008/09.
