Dante Gabriel Rossetti
This exhibition was held at the Walker Art Gallery in 2003/4.

Published by Edward Moxon and Co, 1865, 22.3 x 17.8cm, Stephen Calloway
The book is bound in a white cloth known as buckram. This gives a more luxurious effect than the dark cloths of the previous binding. The gilt roundels contain stylised plant forms based on the patterns of Greek vases, to complement the classical spirit of Swinburne's poem.
