National Museums Liverpool will be transformed on 5-7 July when the best of the Shakepeare Youth Festival and arts organisations from across Merseyside bring a touch of Shakespearian dramatics to our venues. World Museum Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum, Walker Art Gallery, Lady Lever Art Gallery and Sudley House will all play host to accessible performances and events by 16-21 year old actors.

There will be cameo extracts from several Shakespeare plays and 45 minute performances of The Tempest, Twelfth Night and The Taming of the Shrew. A full list of performances and activities at our venues is available here.

We aren't the only venues hosting performances with shopping centres, the cathedrals, hospitals, docks and even Crosby Beach getting in on the act. More information on these venues and the festival in general can be found on the Shakespeare in the City website.
