This is an original puppet dating from the early days of Codman's Punch and Judy Theatre. Codman's is a family run theatre which has been in Liverpool since the 1860s. It was originally located at Lime Street, then later at Williamson Square.
The tradition continues with monthly performances at Merseyside Maritime Museum. Details of the next performance are on the What's On section of this website.
